Book Club

Since my full time job is taking care of two beautiful children all day long I must say that I know my colors, and all of my animal sounds pretty well. On a higher level of learning I will admit that I may be getting stupider and I was never very smart to begin with. I have decided it is time to further my education on my own so I am starting an online book club(I need someone else to motivate me) . I need something besides the easy reader Mormon mysteries that I so love, to get myself thinking. I would love it if you wanted to join me, anyone, even if you just happen upon my blog, join me. I am starting with the Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It is a classic and I have heard from some very reliable sources that it is GREAT. I hope that I can keep up. If you want to join my club, leave me a comment and spread the word on your blog!

Spring Break

Mitch didn't have school on Friday so we decided to take the weekend and do a few things in Salt Lake with the kids. This is at Hill Air Force Base.

We visited the cemetery were a lot of the Presidents of the church are buried and found President Hinkley's Grave. We also went to Brigham Young's grave which is closer to temple square.

My cousin Shani works at Air Med so she took us to see the helicopters. Treyden got to sit in one and was on cloud nine. They got a call while we were there so we got to watch one take off. It was really neat. This was by far Treydens favorite part of our vacation. Thanks again Shan!

Hogle Zoo has a short train ride that is really fun for the kids. My favorite thing to see was the white alligator. I also love the giraffes. They are the coolest animals!

We also went to the Living Aquarium which was Kenlee's favorite. She was entranced by the water and the pretty colors. She loved watching the sharks and every time they circled in front of the glass she jumped.

We stayed in a hotel Saturday night and went swimming. The Easter Bunny luckily found us there. Of course the best thing that he brought was the chocolate!

HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY SHANI!!!!!

Jacob

I have two items that I need to discuss.
1. I just finished reading Eclipse for the second time because I had nothing else to read. I am, like many others (except for Shani) a fan. The last one is my least favorite though and it is the only one that I own (That is why I read it again). Let me vent for a minute about why this one is my least favorite. I LIKE JACOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that every one else swoons over Edward but I don't see why. OK granted he is hot and has a nice body but he has NO personality. He does nothing but rescue Bella all of the time, who, in my book is kind of annoying. Jacob on the other hand has the whole package. He is tall, dark, and handsome, he rides a motorcycle, and he is funny. He also is willing to fight for Bella where Edward would let her go if "that is what made her happy" GAG. I personally would want him to fight for me. Also and I quote "He is a drug for you Bella. I see that you can't live with out him now. It's too late. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun." Forgive me if I am wrong but aren't drugs bad for you.
2. I know this is totally a different subject but I didn't want to start a new post. I realized today that Treyden sees so much more than I do. We were driving home from Ashley's today and he pointed out every little thing to me. He saw horses, tractors, an airplane, school bus and plenty of other things that he had to make sure that I saw. I never would have even noticed them because they are just there to me. But to him it was very exciting. I get so set in my routine and focused on my objective that I forget to stop and smell the roses.

Sleepless Nights

Treyden use to be the best sleeper at night. We never heard a peep from him until 8:30 in the morning. It was heavenly. The past couple of weeks though he has been waking up and getting in our bed. I let him do it a few times and after I got no sleep I decided I needed to put an end to it. Last night he didn't fall asleep until after nine oclock (his bed time is 8:00) and then at 11:30 he comes walking into our room with his apple juice and tried to crawl into bed with us. I got up and took him back to his room. I rocked him and sang him a couple of songs and told him he had to stay in his bed. "Okay Mommy" ( I think he says this just to get me to leave him alone) then I went back to bed. He cried for 1/2 an hour until I went back in and sang him another song. He asked for milk. I told him no (because he would have soaked through his diaper) and went back to my bed. 1/2 an hour later Mitch gets up and takes a turn cuz he can't sleep through his crying. Finally at 1:30 he falls back asleep. TWO HOURS are you kidding me. I just can't figure it out. Some body help me out here. What do I do. I need my beauty rest. I know that two hours may not be a big deal to some of you with new babies but Treyden use to be an angel at night. Plus Kenlee wakes me up for her binkie quite often through the night. Advice PLEASE!!!!!!!!

1. Treyden is a t.v. bug. Among his favorites (right now) are Incredibles, Brother Bear 2, and Toy Story.
2. Once when Treyden was suppose to be taking a nap (I have to lock him in his room) I heard some noises so I went in to check on him. He was standing in front of the door with nothing on but a smile and a pair of socks. He was holding his diaper saying "poopy". I just about died. Luckily he apparently didn't know the difference between number 1 and number 2 yet because there was no "poopy" in his diaper. The funny thing is that when I put him to bed he didn't have socks on.
3. Treyden's favorite toy is my snow machine helmet. He constantly bugs me to death until I get it for him. He puts it on the floor, sticks his head in it and then stands up. He has surprisingly strong neck muscles for such a little guy.
4. He loves stuffed animals and every night we line them up on his bed and they sing to him. (me in different voices)
5. He is currently being potty trained and mom is hating every minute of it.
6. Treyden loves anything with an engine; tractors, helicopters, trucks, airplanes and most of all "so achines".
7. He is the best big brother, he loves to help me feed Kenlee and give her hugs and kisses.
8. Treyden is a book worm-his two favorite books right now are "Fancey Nancy" and "Duck on a Bike".

I love it

Here are a few of the scrapbook pages that I have done digitally. I am loving it. There is still alot that I need to learn about Photoshop Elements but for the most part it is a pretty easy program to use.
