our weekend in Island Park

Grandma Adams crawled in the snow coach with the boys and went for a little ride.
Treydens favorite toy is a helmet. If he even catchs a glimpse of it he won't stop asking for it until he has it. This is how he puts it on. He has to put his head in it while it is on the ground then he stands up with it on. It is the funniest thing in the world!
Yesterday I went on my first "mans ride." I thought we were just going for my usual trail ride but dad took us up into the mountains in deep powder where no other sleds had been yet. Don't ask me what he was thinking. I had a blast but most of the time was spent watching Mitch and my dad dig mine and Jordan's sleds out. According to my dad it was a mini mans ride but I thought it was hard. Finally about 2/3 of the the way up the hill my dad got tired of digging us out so he gave Jordan and I seperate rides to the top. I had my head down the whole time because so much snow was getting in my face so I didn't see anything but it was exhilarating. It felt like we were floating. I was completely scared but couldn't stop myself from laughing. Anyway, we had a great time and have had the experience and will probably never do it again. Who knows though, I might be feeling a little reckless next time and let dad take me up again.

The Joys of Motherhood

I just put these pictures on my computer and thought I would share them. They are really random but cute!Kenlee got these crayola color dots from Santa that turn the water colors. Treyden loves them. Kenlee doesn't really care what color the water is, she just loves to splash!
Playing "popcorn" for family home evening. It is about all I can play and only with the right hand after eight years of piano lessons. Treyden loves it when Mitch reads him bed time stories. This is his current favorite book. Its about tractors-go figure.

Kenlee is getting to be so busy. She loves to get in my drawers and pull all of the wash cloths out. She is such a big helper too. She helped me clean out the fridge. Yes, she did poo threw and I didn't notice until after I took the picture. Disgusting I know but it was too funny not to keep.
My favorite time of the day which happens to be right now. That is why I am able to do this long of a post.My two little monkeys jumpin on the bed. Kenlee was mad at Treyden. She can be quite a drama queen for a 9 month old!
Our screen saver is a slide show of pictures on the computer. Treyden loves to watch it and name everyone he sees. I made Mitch babysit while I was making dinner. I must say, I am one lucky girl to have such an awesome family.

I am my mom

Yesterday, I once again came to the reality that I am my mother. This is far from the first time that I have come to this realization. I have an amazing mom. She is the most fun person to be around in the world. She is a great grandma to my kids and spoils them to death. She is caring and kind, but her mouth has gotten her into trouble more than once. This is the attribute that I am so lucky to have inherited. Yesterday, a friend of Mitch's came over to borrow some tools and brought his little brother with him. They walked in and Mitch introduced me to the brother, Chase. I said hello and then without even thinking (surprise) said, "how old are you" - 22, "do you have a girlfriend because I have a really cute sister." These are my moms words coming out of my mouth, I kid you not. She did this to me all of the time and it made me so mad mostly because the guys that she gave my number to were not cute and really annoying. So, at least I am improving in that department because this boy is cute. Anyway, they walked down stairs as I was pulling my foot out of my mouth. He was really nice when he came back up and acted really interested in calling Jordan (probably thinking that if she is even half as cute as me she would be worth taking out-lol) so I gave him her number and sent them on their way. I apologized to Mitch as soon as they left in case I embarrassed him. He said, "I am not the one you need to apologize to, apologize to him for setting him up with Jordan." Ha Ha (he was joking Jordan) And you are welcome Jordan for opening my big mouth(unless he turns out to be weird-then just blame mom.)

9:00 vs 1:00

I was so excited for our church to change to 9:00 and for sacrament to be first. One o'clock church with sacrament last kept Mitch and I in the lobby most of sacrament. It is right during nap time and the kids were crabby and sick of sitting. I don't blame them. So I thought 9:00 would be a bit of heaven. Boy was I wrong. 9:00 is play time. The one nice thing about it is that I get to send Treyden off to nursery after dealing with him for an hour and 10 minutes. ok two nice things, i got to take a Sunday nap! OH how I have missed those!

Poor Girl

Last night we went to Ryan and Kyllas to play games. It is so nice to have the three boys the same age. They play really well together. Poor little Kenlee though. She tries so hard to get in there and play with them. Boston always tells her "no keny", Carter sat on her head, and Treyden pushes her face into the ground and rides her like a horse. As soon as she can walk so is going to get her revenge. Kylla needs to hurry and have her baby so she has another girl around to help her gang up on the boys.
