Potty Training Continued.....

My neighbor came over tonight and I found out she potty trained her daughter yesterday. In one day. I didn't know that was possible. It has been over a month and Treyden still has daily accidents. He just gets to busy. I am ready to put him back in diapers. I give up.

i'm sorry. honestly, it's just better to wait until they are ready. you can encourage him, but can't force the kid to pee. cameron peed outside in the backyard for the longest time. i had to give him the goldfish to get him to go on the toilet instead of the rocks in the backyard. like i said, he's going on 4 yeard old in 5 months and still poops in a diaper. it just ends up being a battle with both parties frustrated and fighting if you do it before they want to. good luck! try again later is my advice!

oh yeah. and quite honestly- diapers are nice!!! you don't have to remind them to pee every time before you go anywhere; no stops at walmart to use the potty, or on road trips. they do have their perks!

Don't give up!!!!!!!! That could make it so much harder when you try again! The fact that you've been doing it for a month means you should keep going. If you stop after a month and try again later, he'll think you're going to stop again, and he won't take it seriously!!!
You can do! Just pray for some guidance and patience! :o)

Ha Ha. At this point, if I were Treyden, I would start to mess with you and wait till I was 8 to potty train. Like Taylor. He is going to kill me for making that public.

I am so sorry! I don't know what advice to follow! It is such a hard call, because when you are ready for him to be potty trained, it is so discouraging to go back! With my boy he was so stubborn, I had to wait for him to be ready, and then it went super fast!!! But he is also a year or so older than your boy!! Good Luck, and I feel your pain!! It WILL happen!!!!

Don't give up - the little devils thrive on winning those battles! Keep going, it'll happen.

I'm sorry it has been such a pain for you. I do agree that once they are ready it is really easy. But Jaden has been having more accidents since we have been outside playing. He forgets that he needs to go.

I wanted to tell you that I picked up a brochure from the Ammon Pool last week and they are going to have a mom and me class for the babies. You can get the brochure at the Ammon City office.

There is no easy way to potty train, I hate it, and I don't have any good advice. Good luck to you.

Ok - your mom might think I'm abusive too, but we did cold showers too and it worked. It might have scarred Austin for life, but it seemed to cure him of going in his pull-up. When we put him in underwear, he didn't have a single accident. I know it sounds bad, but it does work. We only had to have a cold shower with poop. Good luck though. I almost gave up too, but if you hold on and keep reminding him, he will come around.
