I had a lot of errands to run today and told Treyden that if he was a good boy then he would get to pick out a new toy at Target. He was so good so he picked out a helicopter lego set. Then he didn't get to play with it until he took a good nap (I know, mean mom). So the first thing he said when he woke up was "I want my new toy". We were sitting on the floor in the kitchen putting the legos together (ages 6-12 I later read on the box) when Mitch walked in from work. Treyden excitedly told Mitch about his new toy to which Mitch replied "I love lego's." So I promptly set him to work on it.
As I was cooking dinner I was listening to Mitch tell Treyden where the peices went and ask for a specific peice. They had a great time together and I think that Mitch relived a bit of his childhood (he has tons of Star Wars Legos).
Here is the finished project. Treyden hasn't put it down and tells me frequently "thats so awesome!"
It is great to see the little things that please boys. I have a really hard time finding fun toys for my kids so even though the box says 6-12 years it was a good purchase.

Leggos are always fun! Treydan seems pretty proud of his helicopter. I got my scentsys in the mail the other day and I am LOVIN' the pumpkin roll. Thanks for all your help!

Brandi, I sent mitch a message about two weeks ago letting you guys know that we are expecting, but he never wrote back. I just wanted to make sure that you guys knew. Jillyn is due in April, and she throws up every morning at 5:30. Pretty inconsiderate if you ask me. Hope everything is well with you guys.

Andrew's mom saved all his legos from when he was little and gave them to us. We have WAY more than we need, plus all the directions on how to make things. I think Treydan needs to take a few :)

I had to laugh looking at this post because Ethan has the same lego set(and shirt that Treyden is wearing) and I even got the same pictures of Ethan and Mark working on the helicopter! I think Mark secretly loves to play legos with Ethan - Every Sunday it has become a tradition at our house to play with our big box of legos.
That does look fun, I might have to get one for my boys. Bob use to love legos awsell. Thanks for the good idea.

That is so cute! Treyden looks like a mini Mitch. Its so crazy. I hope all is well back in Southeast Idaho. We sure miss you guys.
That is fun project for him to do with his daddy. I need to find some project that will keep my girls busy for awhile.
